Description

I have the following setup: wiring: [DISPLAY:RS]<==>[PARPORT:DB6] wiring: [DISPLAY:RW]<==>[PARPORT:DB5] wiring: [DISPLAY:ENABLE]<==>[PARPORT:DB4] wiring: [DISPLAY:ENABLE2]<==>[PARPORT:DB4] wiring: [DISPLAY:GPO]<==>[PARPORT:DB7]

If i set Enable2 to GND then i just get garbage on the display.

GPO doesn't work unless I set, and keep, GPO8 high.

What kind of Display are you using?
What is the "real" wiring of your display?

Sorry, using HD44780, 16x2

D0-D3 -> DB4-DB7

D4 -> E

D5 -> RW

D6 -> RS

D7 -> GPO
